Three Weekends Left

This newsletter was emailed on October 15, 2026. It looks better in your inbox. Sign up for our distribution list, and save volunteers@beavercountydemocrats.com to your contacts, so emails go to your inbox, not to your junk/spam folder.

October is moving quickly!

Thanks to everyone who, in the last few months:

  • Knocked on nearly 23,000 doors
  • Contributed financially
  • Planned, attended, or sponsored one of our events, including Donuts with Dems, our annual banquet, or the Selma screening
  • OR all of the above!

Momentum is on our side, and there are three weekends left before the election. Let’s finish strong! 💪

No Kings Vote Early Rally

Meet us for the roadside rally this Saturday, October 17th at the Courthouse in Beaver at 10 am. Bring your signs to encourage our neighbors to vote early or to make a plan to vote on November 3rd.

Saturday is a busy day in Beaver. Please show we are good neighbors. There is a Halloween event in the gazebo park at noon, so we will wrap up the rally around 11:45 am. The surface parking lot is off limits because the farmers market runs from 10 am to 1 pm. Parking is available in the parking garage next to the Courthouse and on the street around the parks. Consider visiting the farmers market and the local businesses before or after attending the rally.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

New Brighton Fall Fest

After the rally, we also invite you to visit us at the New Brighton Fall Festival on Saturday, October 17th from 12 – 6 pm. A shuttle will run from New Brighton High School. We will post the location of our table on 3rd Avenue on our social media pages Saturday.

** If you can spend any time volunteering at the table with Darlene, please call or text Sheila at 724-601-2267.

General Membership Meeting

All registered Democrats are invited to our General Membership meeting on Thursday, October 22nd. Doors open at 6:30. The Meeting begins at 7 p.m. RSVP here to receive the meeting location.

We’ll receive updates from the campaigns, learn how we can help get out the vote, and pick up yard signs and slate cards for Election Day.

Knock on Doors, Talk to Voters

We need YOU to help contact friendly voters who might need to be reminded to vote!

  • Rob Matzie‘s campaign canvasses every Tuesday at 5:30 pm and every Saturday at 10 am. The meeting location may change each week, so you will receive a follow-up text after you sign up.
  • Join Sydney Speicher on October 24th and 31st.
  • Knock with the PA Dems on Saturdays and Sundays between 9 am and 6 pm. Sign up to let them know to expect you.

Can’t knock?

  • Drivers are needed to help us get to more doors. Sign up for any of the above canvasses and get paired with a door knocker.
  • Volunteer leaders are needed at the office on the weekends to welcome the canvassers and give them their walk lists. Call or text Sheila if you can help: 724-601-2267.
  • Phone bank from home on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm to talk to voters about Governor Shapiro, Lt. Gov. Austin Davis, Congressman Chris Deluzio, and our PA House candidates, Rob Matzie, Sydney Speicher, and Jake Young. Sign up to join the phone bank.
Poll Greeter Training

Can you spend a few hours on Election Day outside of a polling place passing out our slate card? Rob Matzie’s campaign manager Olivia, will lead a training for poll greeters on Thursday, October 29th at 7 pm. RSVP for the location.

Weekly Opportunities to Join Us

Join us for Winning Wednesday at 7 pm. For the remaining Wednesdays before the election, we need a full house to write, text, and call voters. Sign up for reminders and updates and bring your phone and tablet or laptop.

Our Roadside Warriors hold a rally every Friday from 4 to 5 pm. Sign up to receive the location and reminders.

If these times don’t work for you or you have something else in mind, email volunteers@beavercountydemocrats.com or call Sheila at

724-601-2267 to get involved.

If you can’t volunteer, please consider donating to help sponsor the work of our volunteers. Any amount is appreciated!
