Message from the Chair Erin Gabriel

How will you feel on November 9th? If these elections are as close as they are predicted to be if it comes down to just a few votes in each precinct, how will you feel? 

Ballots will be going out in the mail in just one week. We have just a few short weeks until Election Day.  The time to talk to your friends, family, and neighbors is now. The time to knock on those doors, send those texts, make those calls and get out the vote is now. 

Every year we say this is the most important election of our lives. And this year that is true. Republicans have made it very clear that not only will they criminalize reproductive health care, dismantle our public schools, gut your voting rights and throw out our votes. Our very democracy is on the line. This election will be close- in every race. Control of the state house, the governor’s mansion, the United States Senate and House of Representatives. It’s all on the line. It’s going to come down to just a few votes in each precinct.

Our candidates need your help right now. Representative Rob Matzie and Bruce Carper both need your help in their state house campaigns. Chris Deluzio needs your help in his race to keep Conor Lamb’s seat blue against a far right wing extremist. John Fetterman needs your help against a tv personality snake oil salesman from New Jersey. And Austin Davis and Josh Shapiro need your help to win the governorship and safeguard our democracy. We have multiple volunteer opportunities each week. 

Make sure you wake up on November 9th knowing you did everything you could to preserve our democracy for our children and grandchildren. Make calls, knock on doors. Do the work. Join us. Let’s go.
