March Newsletter: Petition Update & Events

This newsletter was emailed on March 13, 2026. It looks nicer in your inbox. Sign up for our distribution list here.

Nice Work!

Thank you Beaver County Democrats! More than 375 of you enthusiastically signed petitions so our candidates could be eligible for the primary ballot!

Josh Shapiro and Austin Davis received almost 60,000 signatures statewide from across all 67 counties.

Chris Deluzio submitted more than four times the necessary number of signatures from Beaver and Allegheny Counties.

Rob Matzie and Sydney Speicher far exceeded the number required for State Legislature.

Our work wouldn’t be possible without YOU!

Please join us for one of the following events to strengthen our connections to each other and the community.

Friday Rush Hour Rally

Join our Democracy Warriors, rain or shine, for our rush hour roadside rally. Sign up for location, parking information, and any necessary updates.

Fish Fry

We will be attending three more fish fries this season. This week we will be in Baden. Please sign up for details.

Saturday Parade in Monaca

Looking for a fun way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and support the community? Bring the family to Monaca this Saturday, March 14th. There will be music, raffles, food trucks, and vendors. Visit our tent in Washington Plaza and wear your BCDC pins or shirts, if you have them!

Our Community Outreach team is marching in the parade at noon. We will meet in the parking lot of St. John’s Church at 11:15 to line up before the parade. Please sign up so we know to expect you.

Candidate Forum

On Thursday, March 19th, you will have the opportunity to hear from our primary candidates up and down the ballot. All registered Democrats of Beaver County are invited to attend. Doors open at 6:30. The Meeting begins at 7 p.m.

For security reasons, please RSVP on Mobilize. We will email the meeting location on Wednesday, March 18th. There will also be a Zoom link if you are unable to attend in person.

No Kings

On Saturday, March 28th, we are rallying in conjunction with another national No Kings Day to stand for the American values enshrined in our Constitution: democracy, equality, fairness, and due process. We are not alone, and our collective voice is powerful.

A core principle behind all No Kings is a commitment to non-violence and de-escalation. Specifically in Beaver County, we also aim to host a family-friendly event and demonstrate that we are good neighbors who love Beaver County and America.

To that end, the start time of this rally has been changed to 11:30 am, earlier than previous rallies, and plan to end at 1 pm. There is an egg hunt sponsored by a local church that begins at 1 pm across the street, and we want to give families a chance to participate in both events.

During the rally, we are collecting donations of diapers, pull-ups, and feminine hygiene products to distribute to local non-profits including the Adoption Connection and the Little Free Pantry at the Aliquippa House of Prayer.

Bring a sign and a friend. Make new friends and sign up to take action with us. Plan to listen to our inspiring speakers. Donate if you can.

Please sign up so we can estimate the number of atendees, and we can email reminders and updates. We will have a porta-john in Quay Park, and we are working on an accessible parking plan.
