A Hold and  a Flip!

🎉 On Tuesday, March 25th, the Pennsylvania Democrats won both special elections. Dan Goughnour won in Allegheny County, allowing the Democrats to maintain our majority in the House. In Lancaster County, James Malone captured a seat formerly held by a Republican.

Every election and every office matter. Malone was Mayor, and Goughnour was on the school board. Those offices are the proving grounds for future candidates and on the 2025 ballot. Cuts and chaos in DC mean local officials will have to make tough decisions on how to pay for things we need. We must have Democrats on councils and school boards to fight for our families.

We don’t receive financial assistance from the state or national party. Our Committee is run by volunteers. That means we need your help to get out the vote twice a year(at least) every year, even in odd years!

We are in the middle of our Recurring Donor campaign. Your early and consistent contribution allows us to support our candidates by:

  • Printing and mailing postcards and slate cards
  • Contacting voters at their door, on their phones, by email, and on social media
  • Renting our office year-round

Every dollar matters; any amount is appreciated.

If you can sign up as a recurring donor for at least $15 a month by April 14th, you are eligible for one of our limited edition union-printed t-shirts.

We are focused on electing Democrats in 2025 and beyond, but we can’t do this without you. 💙

This Friday, March 28th, support a good cause and be the friendly face of the Beaver County Democrats. Join the Community Outreach Team in attending the Baden American Legion Auxiliary fish fry at 271 State Street in Baden. We are meeting at 4:30 because we don’t want to risk a sellout. Join us in Monaca for their Earth Day Community Cleanup on Saturday, April 26th, at 10 am.

Save the date of Sunday, May 4th. We are hosting a spaghetti dinner to help get ready for the primary. Let us cook you dinner. Sit down or take out and meet the candidates. More details soon.

Can’t make those events? Email Sheila at volunteers@beavercountydemocrats.com or call/text 724-601-2267 to learn how to get involved.
