Message from the Chair

Erin Kelley, BCDC Chair

Friends,

As your newly elected Chair, I want to thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me and for the work you’ve already done to strengthen Democratic organizing in Beaver County. Our committee has deepened its roots over the past several years, and we are now positioned to grow our influence at the local, county, and state levels.

Our officers and subcommittee chairs have been developing goals to build a robust committee with the capacity and capabilities to support the entire Democratic ticket. We continue to expand our volunteer network, strengthen our canvassing operations, and create processes that make our organizing more strategic and sustainable.

To meet this moment, we must commit to meeting people where they are and supporting our endorsed candidates — regardless of the Democratic voter composition of their district. When you are called upon to help a candidate, whether through canvassing, phone banking, or showing up at an event, I’m asking each of you to tag in and step up. What once felt impossible in 2017, no longer feels insurmountable. We’ve already shown that persistence and community connection can move mountains.

Beaver County is a swing county, and that makes our work not just locally valuable but nationally significant. All eyes are on Pennsylvania, and we are setting an example of how to confront extremism by engaging our neighbors with honesty, empathy, and shared purpose.

Our founding principles have not wavered: we organize, unite, and mobilize Democrats to win elections. When we focus on our shared values, we build the local power necessary to elect leaders who reflect these values and govern with integrity.

Thank you for your continued commitment and new engagement. Let’s keep building — together.

Erin Kelley

Chair, Beaver County Democratic Committee
