Message From the Chair

Friends,

Across Beaver County and Pennsylvania, voters delivered a strong message on affordability. Locally, voters were also focusing on their neighbors and electing leaders that they can trust. Our Democratic candidates, no matter where they are, no matter how they fit into our big-tent party, met voters at the kitchen table, not the gilded ballroom.

We’re extremely proud of the work done by our Democratic candidates and our incredible volunteers, who made calls and knocked doors to remind voters to get to the polls. They made a huge difference Tuesday night up and down the ballot.

At a time when Republicans are focused on tearing things down, Democrats have been lifting up our neighbors and communities. Democrats are fighting for affordable health care, a safe and inclusive education for all our children, ensuring our neighbors are fed and housed, and fighting for good union jobs so we can afford to live, raise families, and retire, all with dignity. Voters see that clearly. They responded emphatically across the country on Tuesday. There is always more work to do. We will continue to show up in and for our community as we prepare for everything that this next year will bring.

Erin Gabriel

Chair of the Beaver County Democratic Committee

You Did It!

Congratulations and thank you to all of our candidates, their volunteers, and families! Regardless of the outcome, we appreciate everyone willing to put themselves in the arena and sacrifice time and energy to serve our communities. As President Obama said, “The only way to make our democracy stronger is if we fight for it.” One of the best ways to do just that is to run for office. Thanks to each of you for joining in this most noble fight.

Highlights from Tuesday.

  • Turnout was over 42%, an improvement over the last comparable municipal election four years ago, when turnout was almost 34%.
  • John Farmer won his race for magistrate in Conway, East Rochester, Economy, Freedom, New Sewickley, and Rochester Borough.
  • Beaver County Court of Common Pleas Judge Dale Fouse was retained.
  • A majority of Beaver County voted yes to retain all 5 Pennsylvania judges.
  • Brandon Neuman and Stella Tsai were elected statewide.
  • Democratic nominees won seats across Beaver County, and many new people stepped up to serve and won!

You can find all of the unofficial results from Beaver County on the Board of Election’s website.
