State Representative Jaret Gibbons will be hosting a “Shredding Event” from 10 am to noon on Saturday morning at the North Sewickley Fire Hall, which is located at 893 Mercer Road, Beaver Falls. On his Facebook page, Gibbons stated that shredding documents with personal information is one of the simplest things you can do to protect yourself from identity theft.
Any documents brought to the event will be shredded free of charge and then properly disposed of by a professional document disposal company. Residents are encouraged to bring old credit card statements, credit card applications, bank statements, cancelled checks, income tax documents, insurance records, and retirement fun documents.
For more information on the event, you can contact Jaret’s constituent office at 724-752-1133.
