The Beaver County Democratic Committee introduces you to the Democratic candidates for office, including county row offices and state judgeships, and highlights their backgrounds and positions.

State Superior Court Judge
Amanda Green-Hawkins
Amanda Green-Hawkins has nearly 20 years of experience in the legal profession.
Amanda has devoted her legal career to serving working families as an attorney for labor unions. She also serves on Allegheny County Council and in dozens of PA charitable organizations. She is endorsed by multiple labor unions and Planned Parenthood. She lives in the City of Pittsburgh with her husband and two children.
Judge Dan McCaffery
Judge Dan McCaffery has over 28 years of experience in Pennsylvania’s courtrooms.
Since 2013, he has served on Philadelphia’s Court of Commonwealth Pleas. Previously, he served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Temple Law. Judge McCaffery is highly recommended by the PA Bar Association and is endorsed by numerous labor and community organizations. He is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania. He still resides in Philadelphia where he raised his two daughters.
Judge Anne Lazarus
Judge Anne Lazarus is running statewide for retention on Pennsylvania’s Superior Court.
Every ten years, Superior Court judges undergo a Yes/No retention vote on whether their term should be extended to another ten years.
Judge Lazarus has been a fair and principled steward of justice for the past decade. She is an ally of workers, women, and communities of color, and she’s more than deserving of a continued term on the court.

Laura Tocci
Laura Tocci is a lifelong resident of Beaver County. Over her 33-year legal career, Laura has fought hard to represent the interests of her clients and to seek justice while maintaining her integrity.
Laura has personally litigated thousands of personal injury and family matters such as custody and divorce. Laura is an avid community advocate, has devoted thousands of hours to numerous educational, community and charitable organizations and currently serves as the Vice President of the Penn State Beaver Advisory Board.
Laura received a highly recommended rating from the attorneys of the Beaver County Bar Association to serve as Judge.
Beaver County Commissioner
Tony Amadio
Tony Amadio has served as Beaver County Commissioner since January 4, 2008.
Over his 11 years in office, Commissioner Amadio touts growth in the County which includes the Shell plant, an improved quality of life here that is second to none, and educational opportunities for everyone. Mr. Amadio is a lifelong resident of Beaver County and has served on numerous charitable, educational and economic boards. He is married for 47 years to the former Cheryl Ellen Solomon and they are the proud parents of two children and four grandchildren.
Dennis Nichols
Dennis Nichols believes Beaver County needs more family-sustaining jobs and a more vibrant economy to bring about better housing, shopping, schools, and recreation.
With 35-years business experience, 10 years of elected government experience, and 6 years of non-profit leadership, he has the knowledge and background and will work diligently to make Beaver County the best place possible to live, work, and play.
District Attorney
Edward ‘Ted’ Knafelc
Edward “Ted” Knafelc is a son of Beaver County. From an early age, he learned the importance of being an active member in his community, and his parents instilled in him a respect for his fellow citizens and a respect for the law.
Early on in his legal career, Ted worked as an intern for the Beaver County District Attorney’s office, and then for the Honorable John D. McBride as a Judicial Law Clerk. Ted is currently an Associate with the firm Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky and is an Assistant Public Defender through which he has accumulated valuable daily experience in the criminal justice system of Beaver County. Ted has received endorsements from the Pennsylvania State Troopers, multiple F.O.P. lodges, USW, Beaver-Lawerence CLC, and Beaver County Building Trades.
Sheriff
Wayne Kress
Wayne Kress is a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper with 25 years of combined law enforcement experience and is also a veteran, serving as a Security Police Officer with the U.S. Air Force. Fiscally conservative, Kress will always do what is right for Beaver County and its residents. Kress has pledged to perform his duties while ending nepotism and political patronage.
Kress is the only candidate endorsed by the Pennsylvania State Police and local labor unions. Kress is pro Second amendment. Kress is ready to lead the Beaver County Sheriff’s office by restoring honesty, integrity and instilling professionalism. Kress is married with two children. His son is also a veteran, and his daughter is currently serving in the U.S. Army overseas in Germany.

Lori Bohach
Lori Bohach has served as the Tax Collector in Conway, PA and for Freedom Area School District for the past 13 years. Her job is parallel to the County Treasurer’s.
Lori is professional and fiscally meticulous. She believes that respect, transparency & accountability are key components to success. She goes above & beyond for her constituents. She would bring those same attributes to the county level.
Lori is endorsed by both the Beaver-Lawrence Central Labor Council and the Beaver County Building Trades. She is an active volunteer at her church and in the community. Lori has been married to Joe Bohach for 27 years, and together they have raised three children.
Recorder of Deeds
Dee Dixon
Dee Dixon has enjoyed a career in real estate for over a decade. She is currently a real estate agent and member of the Beaver County Tax Assessment Appeals Board. She has been endorsed by the Beaver County Association of Realtors and the Beaver-Lawrence Central Labor Council.
Dee has served as the Associate Director of a small nonprofit with her husband and is actively engaged in our communities through volunteerism. Together with her experience and commitment to community, Dee will be a new face in county government that brings fresh ideas, an unparalleled work ethic with a bi-partisan approach. She is passionate about public and civil service!
Prothonotary
Mike Rossi
Mike and his wife live in Monaca. They have four children, a son-in-law, and three grandchildren.
Mike Rossi is a fair and reasonable voice with proven leadership skills and is ready to serve as Beaver County’s next Prothonotary. Mike previously served as president of the Center School Board and was a union representative and unit president while employed with Verizon Communications. He is the public address announcer for the Central Valley Warriors. Mike has been endorsed by the Beaver-Lawrence Central Labor Council.
Controller
David A. Rossi
David A. Rossi graduated from Monaca High School and has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Robert Morris University. He has served as your county controller for 12 years. He has saved over $1 million by cutting the budget of his own office and streamlining its operations. His office has conducted nearly 100 audits helping county departments to cut costs and gain efficiency. He established a fraud/abuse hotline. He has received a Certificate of Achievement for excellence in Financial Reporting for 12 straight years.
Prior to being elected in 2007, he worked at Mellon BNY Financial and served as a councilman in Monaca Borough. He has coached youth baseball and served on multiple boards. He is a member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church and Monaca Sons of Italy. David is the son of Guy Rossi and Helen (Cassucio) of Monaca.
Clerk of Courts
Judy Enslen
Judy R. Enslen is currently serving in her 8th term as Clerk of Courts. She is an experienced, dedicated public servant who works professionally with our court system maintaining all Common Pleas criminal court filings and reporting.
Judy was the first county official to institute the use of credit cards for payments and to enter into agreement with an outside collection agency to collect over $2,000,000 of court ordered fines, costs and restitution. Hers was the first county office to electronically deposit daily collections to a banking institution. She was instrumental in the creation of a new Collection/Enforcement Program. She also assists CareerLink with the Re-Entry Program.
Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans Court
Tracey Antonline-Patton
Tracey Antoline-Patton is honored to serve as the current Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans Court since 2016 with integrity and respect. Tracey has implemented the use of credit cards in the office, digitalized numerous old records to make them more accessible for the public, and has kept her budget in check. Tracey’s commitment to Beaver County is exemplified by her years of public service as Chief Clerk, Open Records Officer and now the Register of Wills.
She is a lifelong resident of Beaver County, born and raised in Monaca to Helen (Nale) Antoline and the late John A. Antoline. She and her husband Gregory Patton reside in Center Township and are the parents of three children.
