Beaver County elected officials, Connie Javens, Judy Enslen, Jan Beall, Tracy Patton, and Nancy Werme, joined the picket line and brought food and beverages to striking SEIU workers outside the Beaver County Courthouse on Tuesday, June 7. More than 130 rank and file members of the bargaining unit voted to strike for one day to protest the lack of bargaining in good faith from the county negotiators. The union is scheduled to meet Wednesday, June 15, to authorize a longer strike if no contract is reached.  There are no talks scheduled between the two sides. The county said it offered its last and best final offer.
